EOI | EL2 Director, Enterprise Strategy, Digital and Data Division Add expected salary to your profile for insights ONI’s Digital and Data Division (Division) designs and delivers technology solutions and services that underpin ONI’s day-to-day operations, as well as leads broader digital and data initiatives across the National Intelligence Community (NIC). The Digital Support Office (DSO) leads enterprise strategy development and provides portfolio management and coordination across the Division. It drives best practice in governance and performance reporting for ONI and NIC digital initiatives. The DSO brings together the enabling functions of the Division – such as governance, program management, procurement and contract management, enterprise strategy and architecture. It also has a focus on interoperability and resilience, and drives improved digital and data workforce planning and digital and data skilling uplift across ONI. In the DSO, the Enterprise Strategy team leads the development, implementation, and governance of enterprise architecture frameworks within ONI, including setting the strategic technology priorities to guide ONI’s transformation and ensure alignment with organisational goals. More broadly, the team drives collaborative technology strategy across the NIC, shaping shared priorities and fostering alignment. The Enterprise Strategy team also coordinates and centralises architectural advice and governance in ONI, to ensure technical decisions are effective and consistent with enterprise strategies. The roles This role presents a unique opportunity to lead enterprise technology strategy and architecture within ONI, while also shaping and influencing digital transformation across the broader NIC. We are seeking an experienced EL2 to lead the Enterprise Strategy team. As Director, your role would be to: drive the development, execution and review of strategies and roadmaps to guide ONI and NIC technology enhancement and change, including moving to Cloud services support alignment of systems integration activities and recommend future improvements provide specialist advice to the Division, including the Chief Information Officer and Chief Data Officer, supporting the provision of standardised architectural governance and decision making facilitate engagement across the NIC to identify and pursue solutions to promote technological interoperability and resilience ensure governance, compliance and risk management (including cyber) in architectural processes work across the NIC to track progress made on digital and enterprise technology investment, including supporting committees that aid decision-making in this area, and industry outreach build and maintain positive working relationships across ONI, the NIC, industry and with external partners to address ONI, NIC and Australian digital and data priorities. Key attributes To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: be able to lead a team of technical professionals to provide advice and support to ONI’s digital and data enterprise, provide sound strategic advice and judgment to support decision making, communicate effectively both within and across the team, Division, agency and NIC, be able to operate in a high-tempo and diverse environment that relies on the ability to be adaptable and flexible, including prioritising support to fit Divisional priorities, and have demonstrated Enterprise Architecture Experience (including development of technology roadmaps, understanding of government ICT policy standards).
